I promised a couple of my friends that I would write this post, and I am sorry I haven’t earlier. Let me preface with this; I am a Personal Stylist, clothing is my forte. However I will be the first to say that everyone has a style unique to their personalities, and should be appreciated as such. I do not expect a change, though for the men it would be nice. I am just give my personal advice.
Girls
Please STOP doing the following

Tee-shirts under maxi dresses or tank tops.
o
There are fantastic websites that sell maxi’s
with sleeves, also great shops like Forever 21 or H&M where you can buy a
tee shirt for $5. My dear friends know how much I loath this look. I hate this look because to me it just doesn't make any sense. Why in the world would you wear a tank top over a tee-shirt? Tank tops are designed to show off your shoulders and if you are unable to show your shoulders because of garments, just accept the sad fact that tank tops may just not be the best option. If you decide that you just cant live without the tank top or the maxi dress, wear a cardigan!

Shorts and UGG boots
o I wanted to say that unless you are 15 years old you cannot pull this off, but truly there is not excuse for this one. I'm sorry but it is just not cute
·
Tights are not pants!
o
There is in fact a significant difference
between leggings and Tights. That significant difference being transparency.
Please if you feel like wearing leggings as pants make sure that no one can see your
Tuesday thong on a Thursday. Tights are meant to be worn under dresses or shirts, not under waist length tee-shirts.

The boob to leg ratio
o
If you decide that you would like to wear a low
cute dress, go ahead, but to stay classy make sure the dress length is to you
knees. If you decide you want to wear a short dress, the higher the better. If
you want to keep a guys attention stay classy ladies. Trashy is just a
temporary distraction.

Justin Beiber cologne
o
If you are my age or older, you are too older to
wear this!
Girls
Please DO the following

Don’t be afraid
o
Clothing is the easiest thing to change about
yourself, so do not be afraid to venture. If things are financially tight there
are always thrift stores, consignment store or my favorite EBAY!! Use Pinterest to discover new clothing ideas or DIY activates.

Go with confidence
o
You do not have to have the latest trends to be
fashionable. If you are confident in who you are, your clothing is of minuet
importance. The more confident you are
the classier you will want to dress, true story
Guys
Please stop doing the following

Bedazzled jeans
o
If by any means you jeans have any sort of decorative stitching or
bejeweled mess on them, you do not have a chance in hell with a girl who does
not wear the same thing.
·
Baby Tees
o
I love muscles as much as the next girl who
loves Ryan Reynolds or saw Magic Mike, but If your shirt looks like the same one I saw my 18 month old nephew wearing, you may come across as a little douchy. Just sayin’.
·
Skinny Jeans.
o
If your jeans are tighter than mine, I am going
to be concerned about you ability to father children in the future. Skinny jean slender the leg they do not define anything, unless there are "Ladies jeans" tight, then they are going to define everything that you may not want to share.

AXE
o
I met a guy at party not to long ago whom
sprayed SO much Axe body spray that it caused me to have a mild coughing fit.
Needless to say what moderately interesting conversation we were having
abruptly ended for the better. Just as a courtesy, if you choose to use Ass
body spray (I meant that) two sprays tops and don’t expect me to converse with
you for too long.

Your suit is TOO big

A good suit to a woman is like lingerie to men.
But if your suit is too big it can make you look bigger than you want. It never
hurts to have your suits altered and unless you bought a Canali or Hugo Boss it
is not going to cost you an arm or a leg either. A good fitting suit, can taper
the waist, make you look taller and broader, and make you overall look like a
man.

Please Do the following

Make an effort

I have a friend who no matter what we do or
where we go he is wearing a tie and a button up shirt. This, my male friends, is attractive. I’m
not saying you have to wear a tie everyday but women like to see a man who puts effort
in to his wardrobe. Girls wont care what you wear, but you will capture a woman's attention if you try. Try wearing a blazer (my
personal favorite) or using a cologne that cost more than $20. Just try it.

Invest in a blazer
o
Honestly they are a key piece in your wardrobe
and they are awesome.
