Gratitude turns what we
have into enough.
When I was about 8 years old my mother had me
start a gratitude journal. She didn’t give me guidelines to what I should do;
she suggested that I write down the things I am grateful for. At 8 years old I
was not able comprehend the depth of my gratitude and apparently I didn't
understand question marks either.
In moments that seem bleak or moments
that are abundant with goodness, it always best to exude an attitude of
gratitude. There have been moments in my life where I have questioned if there
was anything worth being grateful for and in the moment I have a humble
realization that my Heavenly Father didn’t forget to wake me up today; for that
I am grateful. I am so truly blessed to have the many people in my life as I
do. I love them all so very much. Every friend and family member has taught me
to love more, forgive, and most of all to enjoy every moment. Now at 21 I can
comprehend the depth of my gratitude.
I am a 20-something just figuring it out
